Level 3 Security Re-Certification
Available to All Skill Levels!
If you are working in security in the state of Texas, you must take a recertification course every two years from a TPSB Level 3 certified instructor. Spartan Handgun’s six-hour course is certified by the Texas Private Security Bureau and covers Prevention and Deterrence, Ethics, Observation, Reporting, Offense Types and Arrests, Radio Procedures, Report Writing, Conflict Resolution, Texas Penal Code, and Firearms Qualification.
Introduction
This six (6) hour recertification course is required every two years for anyone to work security in the State of Texas. This course covers Prevention and Deterrence, Ethics, Observation, Reporting, Offense Types and Arrests, Radio Procedures, Report Writing, Conflict Resolution, Texas Penal Code, and Firearms Qualification.
This is a Texas Private Security Board Certified Course and is taught by a TPSB Level 3 Certified Instructor.

Class Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to class?
You will need to bring your TPSB Level 3 ID card, your pistol you want to qualify with, 50 rounds of ammo, a Shotgun (if you want to keep that certification with 10 rounds of shells), and note-taking material. We provide the targets and eye/ear protection.
Will I receive my certification the same day?
Typically yes, but you must submit the renewal certificate with your employer.
I currently do not work at a Level 3 "armed post". Do I need to renew my Level 3 certification?
It is highly recommended, to maintain your Level 3. Some clients will pay more for Level 3 certified Security since you have more training than a Level 2 guard.
